How Makerspaces and DIY Science Promote STEM Learning at Every Age

Makerspaces and tools such as 3D printers provide cutting-edge opportunities for hands-on exploration of STEM subjects. In this standing-room-only panel discussion at the American Library Association Annual Conference in 2015, leading librarians and makerspace creators discuss innovations in STEM learning and how to bring the makerspace revolution to your library.

The discussion is moderated by John Rennie, recipient of the Carl Sagan Award for Public Understanding of Science and Editorial Director for AccessScience. On the panel is Claire Moore from the Darien Public Library; Sharona Ginsberg, Founder MakerBridge; and author Mark Hatch, CEO TechShop and author of The Maker Manifesto.
